In my last semester, I enrolled in a Diploma+ module called Creative Writing, taught by a renowned Singaporean author, Desmond Kon. It was there where my love for writing was re-ignited after several years. I had taken Literature for my O-Levels, but I felt like I lost my love for writing when I joined NYP, mostly because I could not find the time to write.

 

I turned to poetry as my escape, as a means of coping and understanding the rollercoaster of the emotions I was feeling daily. I had to let them out, thus birthing this collection of poems. I achieved an A for this submission.
